Renovation of a deteriorating 1,605 SF bank structure into a medical dispensary. The project’s main challenge involved fitting the Owner’s current and future programmatic needs, while also meeting Maryland’s requirements for dispensaries in a limited footprint.

The renovation included 150 SF addition that replaced the existing entry and porch with a new main entry, waiting room, and consultation room. The design features a flexible receiving area with a bar counter seating that can be converted into an enclosed drive through sales room if the State permits that operation in the future. In 2021, Maryland allowed Greenwave the use of its drive-through in response to the Covid Pandemic.
