Founded in 2018 by two graduates from University of Maryland with shared core values and belief that good design should serve the building’s Owners, Occupants, and it’s community.

Joanna Yu, RA, LEED AP, is a Founding Partner and Principal Architect of Studio U, LLC. She has over 10 years of experience, with a specialty in commercial multi-family residential and single family residential projects. Joanna has a multi-disciplinary background, graduating from University of Maryland with Masters in both Real Estate Development and Architecture, and Certificate in Urban Design. She utilizes her curiosity, multidisciplinary thinking, and collaborative approach on projects to find solutions that best contribute to the projects' success and needs.
